This training session explores the role of artificial intelligence in translation and interpreting. Participants will compare traditional machine translation engines with generative AI systems, examining how each technology processes language, and where their strengths and limits lie.
The session with then look at how CAT tools integrate both MT and generative AI features to support different stages of the translation workflow, including an AI-first solution.
A practical section is dedicated to the Trados OpenAI plug-in, from setting it up to using it effectively.
Finally, the training session introduces automatic speech recognition (ASR) tools used in interpreting and explains their practical applications, whether onsite or remote, as well as the technical requirements for reliable performance.

Formation en distanciel synchrone
La formation se déroule par visioconférence, en interaction directe avec la formatrice ou le formateur, via Teams ou Zoom. Chaque stagiaire reçoit son lien de connexion 48 heures avant le début de la session.
Échanges et interactions
Les participants peuvent poser leurs questions à tout moment. La formatrice ou le formateur y répondra lors des créneaux dédiés aux échanges, ou après la formation selon les besoins.
Espace personnel dédié et support
Chaque apprenant dispose d’un espace extranet personnel où il peut retrouver ses supports de cours, le programme détaillé et un forum d’échanges.
L’inscription doit être finalisée au plus tard 15 jours avant le début de la formation. Les places étant limitées pour vous garantir un accompagnement de qualité, nous vous recommandons d’anticiper votre inscription.

She is also a co-host of the AI in Translation Summit and AI in Interpreting Summit, and has co-authored a book called The Translator’s Tool Box. Nora was listed as one of the Top 30 Women in the Language Industry by Multilingual Magazine in 2023, was the recipient of the American Translators Association’s Innovation Award in 2024, and was named a Language Industry Influencer by Multilingual Magazine in 2025.
